The Leywalker Tribe

The Leywalker Tribe are a declining wild folk community who have traded throughout Britain for centuries. However, as humankind has expanded, we have unwittingly reduced and, in some cases, blocked their trading routes with developments, busy roads and unnecessary destruction of the natural world.

This tribe walk many different pathways and each family passes down their trader knowledge to the next generation. Some trade from the treetops, others on the moors or in woodlands, others only at night, and so on.

Faron was the first Leywalker to call at my Emporium. He explained that several tribe members were looking to retire from their decades of trading. I have had the privilege to find the perfect homes for Faron, Ivo and Sephora – all very different characters but who carry the wisdom of the environment they have spent so much time in and all very willing to share a lifetime of tales of their adventures and sights seen on their travels. They are a gentle race and make wonderful companions.

Indigo

Indigo is a night trader and can see very well in the dark. He mainly spends his time in the forests but also trades along riverbanks and streams. He loves a bonfire or hearth to sit at and would like occasionally to be able to watch the moon and stars from a window in his new home.

Haden

Haden is a trader from the moors. He has a love of heather and bracken and knows the best way to avoid sinking into bogs. He has seen many strange creatures wandering through the moors and would love to share those tales with you… particularly if he is offered a hot buttered crumpet whilst doing so. Mead is his downfall so please do not tempt him!
