Betsy May was, like Beau, made in the traditional ‘Deep South’ way – with as much fabric as was available. She appears to have been lucky enough to have to be graced with one arm, given the limits of fabric used on her, but over the years she has lost it. When I received her into the Emporium she was leaking stuffing out of her lost arm. I sewed the opening up so that she would retain the stuffing she had.
Like Beau, she smells of cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg. Her previous owner seems to have taken great care of her and wrapped her up in a blanket which still shows Betsy May’s name faintly embroidered on it.
